SIRUI welcomes another two members, the 35mm T2.9 and the 100mm T2.9, to the full-frame anamorphic family to make it a versatile four-lens set. This full-frame lineup is considered a cost-effective alternative to name-brand full-frame anamorphic lenses, delivering that distinctive anamorphic look to the masses. A 1.25x anamorphic adapter is announced along with the lenses to increase the 1.6x to a 2x squeeze factor and also turn spherical lenses into anamorphic lenses. The two new lenses have a lot in common with their older siblings in terms of specifications and features. They cover full-frame sensors, are available with Canon RF, Leica L, Sony E, or Nikon Z mounts, and feature blue lens flare and stretched oval bokeh effects. The 35mm is a unique focal length that’s wide enough to capture background elements, but close enough to shoot intimate shots. Because of its versatility, it is ideal for a variety of situations, from landscapes to portraits and even some macro photography. The 100mm is a short telephoto lens that is great for bringing distant scenes and subjects closer. If you want to bring the background into the shot while effectively highlighting the subject with focus, this lens can be of great help because it can affect the relative size of the subject to the background and compresses them together. The 1.25x anamorphic adapter is designed to increase the squeeze factor from 1.6x to 2x or turn spherical lenses into anamorphic lenses. It features a standard 82mm rear thread to work with a wide range of lenses. Don’t worry if you have different diameter lenses, SIRUI offers three step-down rings (67mm, 72mm, 77mm) and one step-up ring (92mm) to match the adapter with many popular diameter filter threads. With a length of only 46.5mm and a weight of 650g, the adapter is relatively small and lightweight. The minimum focus distance is 0.8m. Do the focusing with the adapter once the focus ring of the “host” lens is set to infinity. Be sure to line up the adapter with the base lens to get the desired horizontal flares. If you are interested in these lenses and the adapter, go check them out on Indiegogo on Sept. 8, 9 am EDT.  Price and Availability SIRUI will launch both new lenses along with the adapter via an Indiegogo campaign once again. Super Early Bird Price for the 35mm T2.9 and 100mm T2.9 is $1,279, $429 for the 1.25x anamorphic adapter.
